Paternity Test (no maternal involvement)
Testing: Child and alleged father samples
Price: £119.00
Establishes the paternal link between an alleged father and a child, without the need to test the mother. These tests are 100% conclusive for exclusion and greater than 99% for inclusion.
Paternity Test (with maternal involvement)
Testing: Child, mother and alleged father samples
Price: £119.00
Establishes unquestionably the paternal link between an alleged father and a child by additionally testing the mothers DNA as well. These tests are 100% conclusive for exclusion and greater than 99.999% for inclusion.
Maternity Test
Testing: Child and alleged mother samples
Price: £119.00
Establishes unquestionably the maternal link between an alleged mother and a child. These tests are 100% conclusive for exclusion and greater than 99% for inclusion.
Multiple Testing
Testing: Additional applicants of second relationship
Price: £89.00
If more than one relationship needs to be established. Provided at a reduced cost for subsequent tests.
Siblingship Test (brother/sister)
Testing: Two alleged siblings
Price: £269.00
This test determines the statistical probability of whether siblings (brothers and sisters) share the same two parents or not. The relationship between alleged siblings (full or half) can be established with 15% exclusion and 90% inclusion conclusivity. When the issue of siblingship is in question, the recommended method to determine whether individuals are true biological siblings is to test their parents. In situations where the alleged parents are unavailable for testing, a DNA siblingship test can be performed to analyze the relationship of biological siblings. Including one common parent greatly increases the accuracy of this type of analysis and is recommended if at all possible.
Y–STR Male Lineage Test
Testing: Two males
Price: £269.00
The Y–STR male lineage test is used to determine whether two or more males are related through their paternal lineage. The Y chromosome is passed from father to son and has a relatively infrequent mutation rate, thus it remains the same through many generations. This test focuses on the Y chromosome and results in a unique YSTR profile for each male tested. It is important to note that this test will not differentiate between men that are in the same paternal lineage.
Twin Zygosity Test
Testing: Two alleged twins
Price: £269.00
Establishes whether fraternal or identical twins, or siblings. Paternity and/or maternity can also be verified. Please contact us for more information.
Missing Parent Test
Testing: Mother, child and both alleged maternal/paternal grandparents
Price: £319.00
In cases where the mother or father is missing or deceased, this DNA test determines maternity or paternity by using the DNA from the Maternal or Paternal Grandparents.
Avuncular Test (Grandparent/Aunt/Uncle)
Testing: Child and alleged grandparent/aunt/uncle
Price: £269.00
This test can be used to assess genes from the paternal side of the family, even when DNA from the alleged father is unavailable, by establishing a link between the DNA of a child and the DNA of an alleged uncle, aunt or grandparent. It is important to note that uncles, aunts and grandparents will have only one quarter of their genes in common with a child, whereas parents and children have half their genes in common. Because of this two-fold dilution of genes, the test cannot achieve as accurate results as a parent-offspring test. Nonetheless, it will provide a numerical probability for the alleged familial relationship.

Consent: The mother of the child automatically has Parental Responsibility, as does the father if he is married to the mother of the child. The father may also have Parental Responsibility if he is named as the father on the birth certificate, provided the birth was registered (or re-registered) after 1st December 2003. The father may also have Parental Responsibility if he has a formal Parental Responsibility Agreement lodged with a court, or a Parental Responsibility Order or a Residence Order. Persons other than the parents may also have Parental Responsibility for a child, usually by Court Order. It is recommended that applicants seek legal advice for further clarification if required.
Directions
DNA Paternity - 1 Test Kit
8 easy steps to collect your DNA sample
1.
Do not drink coffee or tea, or use tobacco products for 4 hours prior to sampling. Samples containing coffee, tea or tobacco residues may not process properly!
2.
Wash your hands and rinse subject’s mouth three times with warm water. (For infants – allow them to drink water from a bottle or wait 2 hours from last feeding)
3.
Remove the first swab from the sterile packaging, taking care not to touch the tip of the swab. Collect cheek cells by rolling the tip of the sample collection swab firmly on the inside of both cheeks (30 times each or for about 1 minute). Be certain to move the swab over the entire inner cheek surfaces. This action should be firm but not aggressive and should cause no discomfort. Please click play on the video to the right to watch a demonstration
4.
Repeat this process for the same individual with the second swab. You must submit two swabs per person.
5.
Allow the swabs to air dry at room temperature for at least 15 minutes. To avoid contamination, do not allow the tips of the swabs to touch anything.
6.
Place the used swabs in the appropriate sample collection envelope (do not put back in original plastic packaging) and ensure that the details required on the outside of the envelope are clearly completed including signature. Be sure to seal the envelope firmly.
7.
Repeat this process for every individual being tested using a different swab and envelope for each person.
8.
Once you have successfully collected all DNA samples, put them inside the reply envelope together with the completed sample collection and registration forms. It is very important that these are fully completed including payment details and signatures – failure to do so will delay your results. Tick each step as you complete them to ensure nothing is forgotten.
Results will be available 5-7 working days from the day our laboratory receive the samples.
