OneClickPharmacy, one of the UK's biggest online pharmacies, has launched an eBay-style marketplace in a move the company claims is a worldwide first.
OneClickPharmacy says the service allows registered pharmacies to trade online for £10 a month and to sell from a range of products from health and electrical to veterinary products. They could shift unwanted stock faster too!
"We are planning on turning the pharmacy sector on its head", a OneClickPharmacy spokesperson said. "It will definitely cause a little but of rattling in the headquarters of Boots the Chemist and Lloydspharmacy."
OneClickPharmacy claims that users need no knowledge of selling online to use the service, as it provides support and guidance to users.
The OneClickPharmacy spokesperson said "We are in essence trying to create an independent multiple that could take on high street giants like Boots and Lloydspharmacy without the hefty markups with prices becoming even more competitive as it is a marketplace.
