Product Details

Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 20g

Canesten 1% cream provides soothing relief from the irritation caused by fungal infections of the skin. It can be applied directly to the skin to help soothe the symptoms including sweat rash, jock itch, nappy rash, ringworm or thrush affecting the outside of the vagina (vulva and labia) or the end of the penis.

Directions

Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 20g

Wash your hand before and after applying the cream. Apply the cream thinly to affected areas 2 or 3 times a day and rub in gently. Generally a minimum of 2 weeks treatment is necessary for thrush although up to 4 weeks maybe necessary for other conditions.

Apply at least 7-10 days after symptoms have disappeared, to avoid the infection returning. Please see your doctor if symptoms do not start to improve within the first few days.

Warnings

Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 20g

If symptoms persist see your doctor. Do not use if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any medicine other than the contraceptive pill and if you are aged under 16 or over 60.

Ingredients

Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 20g

The cream contains Clotrimazole 500mg (1% w/w). It also contains benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octydodecanol and purified water.

About the Brand

Canesten is the market leader for treatment of dermatological and gynaecological fungal infections. As well as offering products to relieve infections like thrush and athletes foot, they also provide a range of feminine care products. Canesten contains the original active ingredient clotrimazol developed by Bayer. Clotrimazol was introduced into the market in 1973 world-wide and its effectiveness could not be reached by any other active ingredient yet. Today, clotrimazol is the best known active ingredient in topical antifungal therapy. Thrush is an infection caused by a yeast called Candida. This yeast normally lives in your body quite happily without doing you any harm. But when the natural pH balance of your vagina is upset - which can easily happen - Candida can multiply. And that's when you may start to itch and develop thrush.

I bought the Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 20g and it turned to be a great product. There are a few Foot Cream products out there but I highly recommend Canesten . I found Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Antifungal Cream 20g much cheaper on OneClickPharmacy and saved quite a bit.
