Canesten Duo Oral Capsule & Cream

The capsule is an effective single dose treatment for vaginal thrush or penile thrush. The cream provides immediate soothing relief from the external itching and soreness caused by the infection in women and men. Directions; Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water (with or without food). The cream should only be used externally. Apply thinly and evenly over the affected area 2 or 3 times daily and rub in gently.

Canesten Duo Oral Capsule & Cream

Thrush is an infection caused by yeast called Candida. This yeast normally lives in your body quite happily without doing you any harm. But when the natural pH balance of your vagina is upset - which can easily happen - Candida can multiply. And that's when you may start to itch and develop thrush.

Canesten Oral & Cream Duo is a convenient 2-in-1 answer to thrush relief – combining a single, fast acting Canesten oral capsule to treat thrush and a handy cream to relieve the discomfort.

Canesten Oral capsule is a convenient and discreet way to help clear the infection and the Canesten 2% cream applied on the outside, rapidly cools the external symptoms.

Directions

Canesten Duo Oral Capsule & Cream

For vaginal thrush in adults, only a single dose (1 capsule) is needed. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. The capsule can be taken with or without food.

Apply the cream thinly & evenly over the affected external irritated area the cream on the external irritated area 2-3 times a day to relieve the symptoms until they dissapear, or upto one week in women and upto 2 weeks in men.

If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, see your doctor. Do not use if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any medicine other than the contraceptive pill and if you are aged under 16 or over 60.

Canesten Duo Oral Capsule & Cream

Each Canesten capsule contains: Fluconazole 150 mg.

Each capsule also contains: lactose monohydrate & sodium lauryl sulfate.

The cream Contains 200mg (2% w/w)

The cream also contains: benzyl alcohol, Polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, Cetyl palmitate, Cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol & purified water

About the Brand

Canesten is the market leader for treatment of dermatological and gynaecological fungal infections. As well as offering products to relieve infections like thrush and athletes foot, they also provide a range of feminine care products. Canesten contains the original active ingredient clotrimazol developed by Bayer. Clotrimazol was introduced into the market in 1973 world-wide and its effectiveness could not be reached by any other active ingredient yet. Today, clotrimazol is the best known active ingredient in topical antifungal therapy. Thrush is an infection caused by a yeast called Candida. I bought the Canesten Duo Oral Capsule & Cream and it turned to be a great product. There are a few Feminine Health (Vaginal) products out there but I highly recommend Canesten . I found Canesten Duo Oral Capsule & Cream much cheaper on OneClickPharmacy and saved quite a bit.
