Canesten Pessary 500mg

Canesten 500mg pessary contains the active ingredient clotrimazole, which is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections with fungi and yeasts. Canesten pessary is a single dose treatment for vaginal thrush. It uses an applicator which allows you to go strait to the site of the infection for effective treatment of vaginal thrush.

Directions

Canesten Pessary 500mg

Wash your hands before and after inserting the pessary. Insert into the vagina preferably at night using the applicator provided. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult your doctor.

Canesten Pessary 500mg

If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, see your doctor. Do not use if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any medicine other than the contraceptive pill and if you are aged under 16 or over 60.

Side effects: Vaginal irritation and Burning sensation.

You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use

The pessary contains Clotrimazole 500mg. It also contains lactose monohydrate, Microcrystalline cellulose, Lactic Acid, maize starch, crospovidone, calcium lactate pentahydrate, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhyrous silica and hypromellose.

About the Brand

Canesten is the market leader for treatment of dermatological and gynaecological fungal infections. As well as offering products to relieve infections like thrush and athletes foot, they also provide a range of feminine care products. Canesten contains the original active ingredient clotrimazol developed by Bayer. Clotrimazol was introduced into the market in 1973 world-wide and its effectiveness could not be reached by any other active ingredient yet. Today, clotrimazol is the best known active ingredient in topical antifungal therapy. Thrush is an infection caused by a yeast called Candida. This yeast normally lives in your body quite happily without doing you any harm. But when the natural pH balance of your vagina is upset - which can easily happen - Candida can multiply. And that's when you may start to itch and develop thrush.

I bought the Canesten Pessary 500mg and it turned to be a great product. There are a few Feminine Health (Vaginal) products out there but I highly recommend Canesten . I found Canesten Pessary 500mg much cheaper on OneClickPharmacy and saved quite a bit.
