Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets Peppermint x 60

Gaviscon Advanced Chewable Tablets Peppermint flavour contains double the concentration of sodium alginate compared with Gaviscon Original and therefore provides the strongest Gaviscon treatment that works as a raft. i.e by forming a thick layer on top of the stomach contents which prevents acid rising back up into the oesophagus (food pipe).

Adults & children over 12 years: take one to two tablets after meals and at bedtime, or as directed. Do not give to children under 12.

Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets Peppermint x 60

Each chewable tablet contains 500mg sodium alginate and 100mg potassium bicarbonate as the active ingredients in a base containing mannitol (E421) and aspartame (E951). The tablets do not contain sugar or gluten.

About the Brand

Keep acid down where it belongs…Gaviscon Products brings fast, soothing and long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn, acid indigestion and sour stomach. Gaviscon contains alginic acid and sodium bicarbonate and the combination of the alginic acid and bicarbonate will create a a foam barrier which floats on the stomach acid. This barrier helps reduce the number of reflux episodes and provides longer lasting action against heartburn than ordinary antacids. In addition to the acid-neutralizing ingredients found in Gaviscon, all Gaviscon products contain "alginate". When chewed (Gaviscon tablets) or swallowed (Gaviscon liquid), the combination of the alginic acid and bicarbonate creates a foam barrier or "raft" that floats on the stomach acid. This raft foam barrier helps reduce the number of reflux episodes and provides longer lasting action against "heartburn" than ordinary antacid products. If reflux occurs, this raft foam barrier is the first to contact the esophageal mucosa, and thus provides protection against the acid-pepsin gastric contents. In fact, Gaviscon helps keep acid down in the stomach, where it belongs.

I bought the Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets Peppermint x 60 and it turned to be a great product. There are a few Indigestion & Heartburn products out there but I highly recommend Gaviscon . I found Gaviscon Advance Chewable Tablets Peppermint x 60 much cheaper on OneClickPharmacy and saved quite a bit.
