Interaction Precautions :

Read this information before taking this medicine :

1. Do not use the tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed at the beginning of this leaflet

2. Do not give these tablets to children under 6 years of age

3. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine

4. Make sure these tablets are suitable for you to use - ask your doctor or pharmacist

5. When using these tablets, it is important to replace body fluids lost during diarrhoea

6. If your symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor

Do not take more than six doses in 24 hours

In the event of accidental overdose, seek medical advice immediately

There have been no undesirable effects reported following use of this product,
however, if you experience any reactions, then discontinue its use immediately
and report this to your doctor or pharmacist who will advise you on the necessary action to take

J.Collis Browne's Mixture for Diarrhoea x 36 tablets

Adults and the elderly :

2 to 3 tablets at once, followed by 2 to 3 tablets every 4 hours.

Children 6 to 10 years : 1 Tablet at once, followed by 1 every 4 hours

Not suitable for children under 6 years, except under medical supervison

Chew tablets before swallowing

Do not take more than six doses in 24 hours

If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor

In addition to taking these tablets, it is important to replace body fluids lost during diarrhoea

We would strongly advise that this medicine is not taken for longer than 3 days at a time, as the opiate-content (e.g. codeine, morphine, dihydrocodeine) can cause dependence. If you require more frequent use, we would advise that you see a doctor.

Each Tablet contains : 750mg Light Kaolin BP; 0.35mg Morphine Hydrochloride Ph Eur and 200mg Calcium Carbonate Ph Eur.
