Care Pholcodine Sugar Free Oral Solution is a cough suppressant that soothes dry, tickly or irritating coughs.

Pholcodeine Sugar Free Oral Solution x 200ml

Adults and children over 12 years: Take one to two 5ml spoonfuls every 4 hours, as required.
Children aged 5-12 years: Give one 5ml spoonful every 4 hours, as required.
Children under 5 years old: Not recommended.
Do not take more than 4 doses in any 24 hours.

We would strongly advise that this medicine is not taken for longer than 3 days at a time, as the opiate-content (e.g. codeine, morphine, dihydrocodeine) can cause dependence. If you require more frequent use, we would advise that you see a doctor.

Not recommended for use with productive coughs or in bronchitis.

Do not exceed stated dose.

Keep all medicines away from children.

Side effects are not common with pholcodine and when they do occur they are usually mild. This medicine may rarely cause nausea, drowsiness or constipation.
