Ranzac Ranitidine Film Coated Tablets
Ranzac belongs to group of medicines called H2-Antagonists. It works by preventing your stomach from producing too much acid and its effects last for up to 12 hours.
These tablets are used to relieve the burning sensation in the stomach and chest caused by heartburn, indigestion, acid indigestion and hyperacidity (too much acid).
Before you rake your medicine:
If the answer is yes to the following questions, do not take Ranzan and speak to your Doctor or Pharmacist:
- Have you ever had a bad reaction to this medicine or to any other medicines containing Ranitidine or any other constituents of these tablets.
- Are you under 16 years of age?
Tell your Doctor or Pharmacist if:
- A Doctor has told you that you have a ulcer in the stomach or small intestine.
- You are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
- You have lost weight unintentionally.
- You have constant stomach pains.
- You have difficulty swallowing.
- You are middle aged with new, or recently changed symptoms.
- You are taking anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDS such as Aspirin)
- You have the rare condition called Porphyria.

Directions
Ranzac Ranitidine Film Coated Tablets
Ranzac 75 is not recommended for children under the age of 16 years. Swallow one tablet whole with water as soon as the symptoms appear. If symptoms are not controlled or return within an hour, swallow another tablet.
Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours
Medical attention should be sought if symptoms worsen. Do not take tablets for more than 6 days without the advice of a Pharmacist of Doctor.
