information available for this medicine. You should ask your doctor ist if you are unsure

What is in your medicine
Simple Eye Ointment belongs to a group of medicines which act as lubricants on the eye.
is used to lubricate and protect the eye in a wide variety of conditions for example
inflammation, scratches on and decreased sensitivity of the cornea and in eye surgery. It is
also used for sticky eyes and to soften and remove crusts from the eyelids.
Before your medicine is used
Before use you should tell your doctor or pharmacist if:
* you know you are sensitive to any of the above ingredients.
You should not wear contact lenses while using this ointment.
Do not touch the tube nozzle on the eyelid or any other surface.
Do not share your eye ointment with anyone else.
Simple Eye Ointment may cause blurred vision or stinging after it is applied to the eye. If
this is the case do not drive or operate machinery until you can see clearly.
How if your medicine used?
Always follow the instruction of your doctor or pharmacist
Gently pull the lower eyelid outwards, place about half an inch of ointment into the gap
between the lid and the eye and blink a few times. Take care not to touch the tube nozzle on the eye lid or any other surface. If self administering, the use of a mirror is advisable.
For most conditions a smalll quantity of the ointment (about half an inch) is placed inside the lower eyelid as required. If your condition does not improve talk to your doctor.
If the contents of this tube are swallowed and you feel unwell, contact your doctor taking the tube or carton with you.
After your medicine has been used
No side effects are anticipated with this product but if blurred vision becomes a problem for you, tell your pharmacist or doctor. Always talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you have any unusual or unexpected effects.
Storing your medicine
This product has an expiry date printed on the crimp seal of the tube. Any product that has passed this date should be returned to the pharmacist or doctor for safe disposal. This ointment is sterile until the seal is broken. Once you have opened the tube it should be thrown away after four weeks. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

Simple Eye Ointment
Store unopened container below 25C. If irritation increases or persists, or you experience
any new or unwanted side-effects, discontinue use and seek medical advice. May cause
momentary blurring. May cause brief stinging or irritation on instillation. Do not drive
unless vision is clear. Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. In order to avoid
contamination dropper tip should not be allowed to touch eye or any other surface. Use
immediately after opening. Do not store opened container. Do not use if single-use container
is intact. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use after expiry date shown.
