Relief of rheumatic pain, headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, period pain, feverishness and the symptoms of colds and influenza.

Solpadeine Plus contains two analgesics (painkillers), paracetamol and codeine, which work by different body routes to relieve pain. In addition paracetamol is an antipyretic (helps to reduce body temperature when you have a fever).

We would strongly advise that this medicine is not taken for longer than 3 days at a time, as the opiate-content (e.g. codeine, morphine, dihydrocodeine) can cause dependence. If you require more frequent use, we would advise that you see a doctor.

Side effects with paracetamol are rare but should you experience skin rash or other side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist. Paracetamol taken in high doses may effect the use of metoclopramide, domperidone and anticoagulants including warfarin. Codeine may cause constipation.

Effervescent white tablet containing: Codeine phosphate 8 mg, Paracetamol 500 mg, Caffeine 30 mg.

The tablets also contain: sodium bicarbonate, sorbitol powder, saccharin sodium, sodium lauryl sulphate, citric acid, sodium carbonate, polyvinylpyrrolidone and silicone fluid.
